Having spearheaded multiple education and literacy initiatives, Aparna has played a pivotal role in delivering solutions for government bodies, financial institutions, and social impact organizations. Her expertise in public relations, team leadership, and critical thinking positions her as a dynamic force in driving ILM’s vision forward. Passionate about empowering communities and transforming India's social landscape, Aparna is dedicated to creating sustainable programs that foster education, skill development, and long-term societal impact. Her leadership focuses on scalability, innovation, and efficiency in literacy programs.

ANJAN SARKAR
DIRECTOR- PROGRAMS
Mr. Anjan Sarkar is an experienced development professional with over 25 years’
experience in the national and global non-profit organizations mostly in India and
partly in Bangladesh and Nepal. His expertise is in managing programs in a wide
range of thematic areas including Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), mother and
child health care, women’s land rights, entrepreneurship development and community
development. He leveraged partnerships with the local governments and implemented
programs through the local partner NGOs.
He has a Master’s in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work, University of
Delhi and also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel
Management from the Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan’s, New Delhi.

NIKHIL GARG
CFO
Nikhil Garg is a seasoned professional with over 4 years of relevant experience
in driving strategic growth and operational excellence across diverse
industries. As Chief Financial Officer, Nikhil combines his expertise in
financial planning, risk management, and corporate governance to deliver robust
fiscal strategies that align with long-term business goals.
As a Chartered Accountant, Nikhil is well-versed in navigating complex financial
landscapes. His career spans leadership roles in reputed Organizations , where
he consistently demonstrated his ability to streamline operations, optimize
budgets, and enhance shareholder value. Known for his analytical acumen and
collaborative leadership style, Nikhil fosters cross-functional teamwork to
ensure financial agility in a rapidly changing market. Nikhil’s commitment to
excellence and integrity positions him as a trusted advisor to executive teams
and stakeholders alike.
He enjoys travelling and reading novels, for enhancing his holistic approach
towards professional and personal growth.

PRATIM CHATTERJEE
SENIOR MANAGER-PROGRAMS
Pratim has joined India Literacy Mission as a Senior Manager. Before joining us, he had worked in the social impact space with various Non-Profits and CSRs like the Bharti Foundation, and Piramal Foundation, for more than 9 years. Over the years he has been handling projects of quality education, skill development, and sustainable livelihood. He has completed a Master of Social Work from IGNOU. He joined ILM to aspire to work at a scale to bring educational equity and attain total literacy. During his spare time, he loves to sing and watch movies.

PARTHA GHOSH
MANAGER-IT & COMMUNICATIONS
Partha is a seasoned Graphic Designer and IT professional with a passion
for working for the underprivileged section of our country. He has been
working with India Literacy Mission for more than a decade now.
He joined us as a Communications Executive and has now been promoted to
IT and communications Manager.
Before joining us, he worked with numerous organizations, such as World
Vision India, Art of Living, and Grassroots Business Fund, to name a
few. He has also expertise in working with survivors of HIV/AIDS and
DRUG users with various organizations.
He also designed different IEC materials for WBSAP&CS, Buladi Campaign
-1097, Red Ribbon Express, and Anti Drug Day for Kolkata Police & West
Bengal Police for more than ten years.

SAYANTANI SARKAR
MANAGER-PROGRAMS
Sayantani, who joined ILM as a Manager, is a professional with over
11 years of experience in the development sector with a demonstrated
history of working in national-level non-profit organizations and
consulting organizations in different states across the country. She
has completed a Master’s in Social Work from the Jayaprakash
Institute of Social Change under Vidyasagar University.
She is skilled in working with distressed children and women, CWC
members, and underprivileged sections of the community. Her
expertise lies in skill development of youth, Training & Capacity
Building, Team Building, Community Development, Program Planning &
Implementation, Networking and Lobbying with Parliamentarians,
Evaluation, and interactions with Govt. functionaries, and
conducting State, District, and National Level Programs on children
in the mining industry.

BIPLAB DAS
MANAGER-PROGRAMS
Biplab is a seasoned professional with more than 19 years of
progressive leadership experience in various non-profit
organizations across India with a vision to be a part of
development of our country. He has expertise in all aspects of
project management including budgets and contracting of
services; Research, Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Capacity
building, Documentation; skilled at working with board members,
CSR team members, International Social Development agencies,
Government functionaries,children, and adult learners.
Networking with and developing partnerships with private,
government, and international agencies. Support mechanism to
NGOs and INGOs for developing new project ideas, designing,
implementing strategies, etc. in view of sustainable
development.
Working experiences in 14 Indian states and 3 UTs with various
national and international organizations in both rural and urban
contexts. Working experiences with both, implementing
organizations and grant-making organizations.
He has completed MSW from Netaji Subhas Open University,
Calcutta, India, and a Diploma in Social Work from Jayprakash
Institute of Social Change.
He loves to work with various kind of stakeholders across the
country.

SUSHAMI PAL
MANAGER-PROGRAMS
Sushami is a professional with over 7 years of experience in
the eye care sector. She has led multiple projects mainly
aiming to restore the gift of vision to every visually
impaired human being, irrespective of nationality, religion
or socio-economic status. She has completed her Master
degree in Sociology from the prestigious Jadavpur University
and MBA in finance from Suresh Gyan Vihar University. She
has also done LLB from Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies
and is a certified AIBE professional - Bar Council of India.
She has joined ILM in October 2024 as Manager Programs.

SURAJ SINGH
ACCOUNTS & ADMIN EXECUTIVE
Suraj is a young professional who joined India
Literacy Mission as an Accounts & Admin Executive after
completing his B.Com from the University of Calcutta.
Being a keen learner, he decided to venture into the
non-profit sector to gain insights into NGO accounting,
considering it a valuable learning opportunity.
In his spare time, he enjoys reading novels and
exploring the global financial markets.

KARTIK DAS
SENIOR EXECUTIVE-PROGRAMS
Karik is an aspirant to see the change in the world.
He completed Masters in Mass Communication and
Journalism from University of Burdwan after finished
his graduation on Mass Communication and Journalism
from Bhairab Gangully College, WBSU.
He started working for ILM after completing his
internship with the organisation. He looks after
MIS, Admin, Annapurna Food Program, Library
initiative and also supports program team in various
ways.
He loves to capture different moments through his
camera.
